       一、直面产业困境,立足全球视野确定转型方向

    I. Confronting Industry Challenges and Charting a Transformation Path from a Global Perspective

       十年前,云南咖啡产业陷入深度困境,整个产业发展举步维艰。20112019年,国际咖啡价格持续走低,产业链各环节接连出现问题:种植户收益大幅缩水,不少咖农砍伐咖啡树改种其他作物;分散式小作坊加工模式,不仅造成咖啡品质参差不齐,还因废水排放不达标被责令整改;在消费市场中,云南咖啡品质不被认可,难以进入高端消费场景。

A decade ago, Yunnan's coffee industry found itself in the grip of a deep crisis, with development across the sector grinding to a halt. Between 2011 and 2019, sustained declines in international coffee prices triggered a cascade of problems throughout the industry chain. Growers saw their incomes plummet, and many resorted to uprooting their coffee trees and switching to alternative crops. The fragmented small-workshop processing model not only led to inconsistent coffee quality but also drew regulatory penalties for failing to meet wastewater discharge standards. Meanwhile, in the consumer market, Yunnan coffee struggled to gain recognition for its quality and was largely excluded from premium consumption channels.

       为破解发展难题,我们将云南咖啡置于全球咖啡产业大版图中全面分析。全球共有79个国家和地区种植咖啡,国际咖啡价格主要由巴西、越南、哥伦比亚这些头部产国主导,依靠期货市场波动调整。云南咖啡产量仅占全球总量1%左右,体量偏小,在大宗商业咖啡赛道上完全没有定价权,只能被动接受市场价格。
To address these development challenges, we undertook a comprehensive analysis of Yunnan coffee within the broader global coffee landscape. Coffee is cultivated in 79 countries and regions worldwide, with international prices largely set by major producing nations such as Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia—driven primarily by futures market fluctuations. Yunnan's coffee production accounts for only about 1% of the global total—a relatively modest volume that leaves the region with virtually no pricing power in the commercial commodity coffee arena, forcing it to passively absorb market price movements.
       与此同时,我们也清晰认识到云南独一无二的资源优势。云南地处北纬21°—26°,是全球纬度最高的规模化阿拉比卡咖啡产区,高海拔山地、充足光照、较大昼夜温差,搭配分明的雨旱两季与优良的生态环境,十分利于咖啡风味物质积累,是发展精品咖啡的天然沃土。结合全球咖啡产业发展趋势来看,精品化、体验化、可持续化已成为第三、第四次咖啡消费浪潮的主流。综合研判后,我省果断作出战略决策:彻底摒弃低端原料输出模式,全面转向精品咖啡发展赛道,走品质优先、价值提升的高质量发展道路。
At the same time, we clearly recognized Yunnan's unique and irreplaceable resource advantages. Situated between 21°N and 26°N latitude, Yunnan is home to the world's northernmost large-scale Arabica coffee-growing region. Its high-altitude mountain terrain, abundant sunshine, significant diurnal temperature variation, distinct wet and dry seasons, and exceptional ecological conditions create an ideal environment for the accumulation of flavor compounds in coffee beans—making it a natural haven for specialty coffee production. In light of global coffee industry trends—where specialization, experiential consumption, and sustainability have become the defining themes of the third and fourth waves of coffee consumption—our province made a decisive strategic choice: to completely abandon the low-end raw material export model and pivot fully toward specialty coffee development, charting a quality-first, value-driven path to high-quality growth.

       二、贯穿精品理念,全产业链落实提质升级举措
       II. Embedding the Specialty Philosophy Across the Entire Industry Chain to Drive Quality Upgrades
       确定精品化转型方向后,我们将精品咖啡发展理念贯穿产业链每一个节点,从种植、采摘、初加工到精深加工、文旅融合,全方位补齐短板、升级标准,推动产业实现质的飞跃。
Having set the course for specialty coffee transformation, we have embedded the specialty development philosophy at every link of the industry chain—from cultivation and harvesting to primary processing, value-added processing, and cultural-tourism integration—comprehensively addressing weaknesses and upgrading standards to achieve a qualitative leap forward.
       在前端种植与采收环节,我们改变传统粗放式管理模式,推行生态化种植、精细化管护。针对省内咖啡品种单一、精品潜力受限的问题,循序渐进开展优质品种引进与替换,稳步提升优良品种覆盖率。田间管理提倡有机肥施用、推进水肥一体化、绿色病虫害防控等技术,依托云南丰富的生物多样性,打造生态种植基地。采摘环节全面推行全红果、全熟果采摘,从源头守住鲜果品质底线。
At the front end—cultivation and harvesting—we have moved beyond traditional extensive management practices to embrace ecological farming and precision management. To address the limitations imposed by a narrow genetic base and constrained specialty potential, we have progressively introduced and replaced varieties with superior cultivars, steadily increasing the coverage of improved varieties. Field management now promotes the use of organic fertilizers, integrated water-fertilizer management, and green pest and disease control, leveraging Yunnan's rich biodiversity to establish ecological farming bases. At harvest, we have fully implemented the "fully red, fully ripe" cherry selection standard, ensuring quality integrity from the very source.
       在初加工环节,大力推进标准化鲜果集中处理中心建设,取代零散小作坊。同时自主研发加上引进国际先进加工设备,实现咖啡鲜果微水脱皮脱胶技术;运用可控发酵、高架晾晒等新工艺,精准把控加工参数,既实现污水循环利用、守住环保红线,又提升生豆品质。
In the primary processing stage, we have vigorously advanced the construction of standardized centralized fresh cherry processing hubs to replace scattered small-scale workshops. By combining independent R&D with the introduction of advanced international processing equipment, we have achieved a breakthrough in micro-water pulping and demucilaging technology for fresh coffee cherries. The adoption of new techniques such as controlled fermentation and raised-bed drying enables precise control over every processing parameter—achieving wastewater recycling and reuse to uphold environmental standards while simultaneously improving green bean quality.
       在产业链后端,一方面壮大精深加工主体,培育本土链主企业,延伸产品链条,扭转利润大量外流的局面;另一方面借鉴国际庄园发展经验,打造精品咖啡庄园,推动咖啡产业与乡村旅游、农事体验、文化研学深度融合,打造特色消费场景。
At the downstream end of the chain, we are pursuing a two-pronged strategy. First, we are strengthening and expanding value-added processing entities, fostering local industry champions, and extending the product chain to reverse the outflow of value and profits. Second, drawing on the experience of world-class coffee estates, we are developing specialty coffee estates that integrate coffee farming with rural tourism, hands-on farming experiences, and cultural-educational programs, creating immersive consumer scenarios.
       为保障全产业链转型落地,我省出台专项扶持政策“咖六条”,同时争取到1.5亿元中央优势特色产业集群资金,各级财政配套奖补,对品种改良、加工提升、品牌打造等予以支持。
To ensure the successful implementation of this industry-wide transformation, our province has introduced a dedicated policy support package, the "Six Measures for Coffee," and secured RMB 150 million in central government funding for superior characteristic industry clusters, supplemented by matching incentive funds at various government levels. These resources support variety improvement, processing upgrades, and brand development.
       通过全链条系统化改造,云南咖啡优良品种覆盖率、精品率、精深加工率持续攀升,产业面貌焕然一新。截至2025年,全省咖啡种植面积达149.5万亩,总产量17万吨,优良品种覆盖率、精品率、精深加工率分别提升至21.8%、41.7%、85%。
Through this systematic transformation across the entire chain, Yunnan coffee has seen sustained increases in improved variety coverage, specialty grade rates, and value-added processing rates, presenting a revitalized industry landscape. As of 2025, the province's coffee planting area reached 1.495 million mu (approximately 99,700 hectares), with total output of 170,000 tons. The coverage rate of improved varieties, specialty grade rate, and value-added processing rate have risen to 21.8%, 41.7%, and 85%, respectively.

       历经十年深耕,云南咖啡精品化转型取得丰硕成果,产业综合实力、品牌影响力实现跨越式提升。下一步我们计划顺势而为,开启云南咖啡全球化布局,规划“六位一体”发展路径,全力推动产业走向世界。

After a decade of dedicated effort, Yunnan's specialty coffee transformation has delivered remarkable results. The industry's overall competitiveness and brand influence have achieved leapfrog advancement. Looking ahead, we plan to build on this momentum and embark on a global expansion for Yunnan coffee. We have formulated a "Six-in-One" development pathway to drive the industry's presence on the world stage.


       一是全面对标国际标准,主动对接SCA、Q-Grade、有机、碳中和等权威认证,拿到全球高端市场准入资格。
First, we are fully aligning with international standards. Proactive engagement with SCA, Q-Grade, organic, carbon-neutral, and other internationally recognized certifications will secure access to premium global markets.
       二是强化产区IP塑造,放大“全球高纬度高海拔精品咖啡产区”的稀缺属性,做强“云南精品咖啡”区域品牌,打造世界级产区名片。
Second, we are strengthening the development of a regional brand identity. By amplifying the distinctive value of our "global high-latitude, high-altitude specialty coffee origin" and reinforcing the regional public brand of "Yunnan Specialty Coffee," we aim to forge a world-class origin reputation.
       三是畅通全球销售渠道,依托国际物流枢纽、跨境电商与海外仓,对接全球精品烘焙商、咖啡馆和国际咖啡展会,深度融入全球供应链。
Third, we are streamlining global market access. Leveraging our position as an international logistics hub, cross-border e-commerce, and overseas warehousing, we are connecting with specialty coffee roasters, cafés, and international trade fairs worldwide to achieve deep integration into the global supply chain.

       四是加快品牌出海,讲好云南咖啡生态种植、助力乡村振兴的故事。

Fourth, we are accelerating global brand expansion by telling the compelling stories of Yunnan coffeeits eco-friendly cultivation practices and its role in driving rural revitalization.

五是坚持绿色可持续发展,依托生态优势打造低碳种植加工模式。

Fifth, we remain committed to green and sustainable development, building a low-carbon cultivation and processing model that capitalizes on our ecological strengths.

       六是深化国际科技与人才合作,引进海外专业人才,同时培育本土国际化队伍。

Sixth, we are deepening international scientific and talent cooperation, attracting overseas expertise while cultivating a localized, professional workforce with a global outlook.
